A two-day Capacity Building programme on GST was organized as an outreach event for the capacity building of the officials of the Department of Goods and Services Tax, Maharashtra (LTU Division) on 12th & 13th July 2022.
Mr. Shoukat Ali Shaikh, Additional Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Maharashtra inaugurated the Capacity Building Programme. 51 officials from the level of Joint Commissioner & Deputy Commissioner attended the Capacity Building programme and strengthened their competencies. The Capacity Building programme included sessions on GST law pertaining to real estate as well as the analysis of financial statements of the entities of the said sector, India’s international engagement in relation to consumption taxes, scrutiny and analysis of returns, audit plan, analysis of financial statements. The Capacity Building programme received incredibly positive feedback from the participants and was widely covered by the media.
